Razavi Intl. Cardiovascular Congress, attended by over 700 specialists from 18 countries at Razavi Hospital, is underway to review latest achievements in cardiology and circulatory system in Iran and the world.
Addressing the congress, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi elaborated on scientific progress in Islam and the role of Astan Quds Razavi in this area.
Labeling the congress as a valuable opportunity to exchange the latest scientific achievements, he referred to the position of science in the religion of Islam and said: “Inclusion of science in books and traditions has been widely encouraged, and Islam has emphasized science as a religious demand.”
He stated that progress and excellence of science is an AQR’s key strategy and given its attribution to Imam Reza (AS), the learned Imam of the Prophet’s (pbuh) dynasty, and the advice of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, one of the most important AQR strategies is scientific development and progress, and “This has always been and will be my focus.”
Touching on the verses and narratives about the impact of the heart on human spiritual transcendence he said, “Physical health of the heart, which is attained by efforts of scientists and professors of the cardiac discipline, provides the platform and the path for the spiritual perfection, kindness and reaching the reassurance.”
“The health of the body is complementary to the health of the mind, and the health of the body is a prelude to inner spirituality. Astan Quds Razavi, strives to promote and develop the health in the region, in addition to implementing plans for deepening spirituality,” he noted.
At the end, he called Mashhad a center of religious spirituality, as it should be the center of health, therapy and medical ethics. In this regard, AQR Health Foundation intends to play a leading and influential role in promoting global health and health services in the region through the capacities of all its academic, medical and research centers.
