Razavi Hospital, affiliated to Astan Quds Razavi, is preparing to hold the 3rd International Razavi Cardiovascular Congress with over 700 related specialists and surgeons in attendance.
Announcing the above in a press briefing, Dr. Shabestari the head of AQR Health Foundation said: "The scientific congresses held at Razavi Hospital have so far provided opportunities for significant growth in medical and scientific activities of this center and other medical centers across the country.”
According to him, the congress will be held for three days from October 9th to October 11th. “During the 3-day event, 20 universities of medical sciences in Iran, along with four foreign associations will exchange information and provide 200 lectures. The congress will also feature 22 non-invasive cardiovascular surgeries and the latest achievements in medical science including cardiology will be presented as well.”
Dr. Shabestari went on to say: "The scientific congress is attended by leading physicians from 19 countries such as England, the United States, and Italy. The precise and profound attitude of the chief custodian of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine and other officials of this holy place are very helpful.”
He added that Iran has a special role to play in holding international congresses in the world and that, at least six representatives from Iran are present in similar cardiovascular events in other countries.
“One of the major achievements of the scientific conventions held at Razavi Hospital is the operation performed without anesthesia, the most recent of which was the Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), where an 83-year-old patient was successfully treated,” Shabestari further said.
According to him, Iran is among the top countries in the world in cardiovascular medicine and the latest cardiac surgeries in different cities of Iran such as Mashhad, Tehran, Tabriz and Shiraz are successfully performed.
