Welfare services in the holy shrine

More than 10000 committed forces including the voluntary forces of admonition team and men and women Basij render services all day long in any occasion for the pilgrims.
Razavi sacred premises consists of 3 Management sections, 12 departments, divisions and offices.
1. Pilgrims Welfare Affairs and Services Management
The titles of some of these management services rendered with more than 300 staff to the pilgrims of Imam Reza (A.S.) are as follows:
A. Pilgrims’ Facility Office:
-Dealing with the lost across the holy shrine.
-Using pesticide, aspersing, disinfection and considering the hygiene issues of shrine.
-Delivery of wheelchairs to the elderly and disabled pilgrims.
-Registration and supervision of the healed ones.
B: Pilgrims’ Affairs office:
-Distributing banquet hall invitation cards.
- Burial services at the holy shrine and Khwajeh Rabi’.
C: Office for deposits and preserving missing objects:
-Receiving, delivering and preserving the deposits and handling the missing objects.
D: Illumination Office:
-Providing illumination for the holy chamber, porticos, and the sacred premises of the Razavi shrine.
E: Janitorial section:
-General cleaning of the sacred premises.
2. Disciplinary and Formalities Management
-Maintaining the order and security in the sacred premises.
3. Banquet Hall Office
The Hazrat banquet hall receives more than 5,000 pilgrims daily.
the invitation cards are distributed every day by representatives of Astan Quds Razavi in pilgrims’ accommodations (hotels, pilgrim houses of various departments, religious sites, inns and during holidays such as summer and Nowruz in schools, parks, and Pilgrim camps).
4. Khuddam Affairs Management:
It renders service within four offices of janitors, Khuddam, doorkeepers and shoe keeping affairs as follows:
-Washing the holy chamber, giving tips and guidance to pilgrims at the porticos and creating a relaxed atmosphere, etc.
-helping in preparation for sermon and Suffeh ceremonies, replacing flowers of the holy zarih, etc.
-Dusting the courtyards, monitoring pilgrims’ traffic in the courtyards, transfer of the healed ones to the related offices, etc.
-Receiving and delivering of pilgrims’ shoes at the entry of porticos.
5. Deposit Offices:
-Cash deposit offices:
In some entrances and inside the holy shrine there are offices that receive the cash money and jewelry of pilgrims so that they could go on pilgrimage confidently. These offices are active day and night.

-Non-cash deposit offices:
Offices located at all entrances of the holy shrine receive round the clock those belongings of the pilgrims that cannot be carried along inside the holy shrine.
-the Lost and Found People Offices:
These offices are located at the entrances of the holy shrine and courtyards where the relatives of the lost ones are informed through calling to the hotels, Husseiniyehs, inns or cities of their residence so that they could be sent back to their families. These offices are working round the clock.
-the found objects offices:
These offices, always active, keep the found objects in a special place after setting the record of them and deliver them to their owners after taking minutes. In case that the owner does not have access to the offices, the object is sent by mail to the owner if the owner postal address is available.
-Oblation Offices:
There are offices at the entries and inside of the holy shrine that receive the cash and non-cash oblations of pilgrims. Those offices at the entries are responsible for receiving the non-cash oblations and those located inside the holy shrine are responsible for receiving the cash oblations. A receipt is delivered for receiving the oblation.
-Wheelchair Offices:
Wheelchair offices are located at the entrances of the holy shrine. These offices offer wheelchairs, folding chairs and tents (only for non-Iranian pilgrims and Iranian Turkmens) in trust and in return receive documents such as ID cards, National Card and certificates. Respectable pilgrims without valid ID can be provided with the mobile patrol services for wheelchair use.
Electric vehicles: mobile vehicle service for pilgrims with disabilities, the elderly and the sick is rendered one hour before to one hour after the three shift prayers. (In case of overcrowding this duration increases.)
-Intelligence Office: it deals with recording and following up such cases as theft, fraud, identifying suspicious individuals, etc.
- Burial Office: In addition to rendering daily services related to the dead, this office also gives some information about burial places of the renowned figures in the holy shrine and Khwajeh Rabi’.
- Religious Funds Office: it receives Khums and Zakat funds and handles religious funds.
-Non-Iranian Pilgrims Aid Office: this office serves non-Iranian pilgrims concerning problems with passports and the costs of going back to their country.
- Pilgrims Aid and Welfare Services office: it deals with those pilgrims who cannot afford returning to their country.
