A group of university and seminary professors and lecturers from Syria paid a visit to the holy shrine of Imam Reza.
According to Astan News correspondent, nine university scholars and lecturers from Imam Khomeini Seminary School in Syria visited the holy shrine of the eighth Imam on Wednesday.
After performing pilgrimage, the Syrian delegation gathered at Ghadir Portico to attend special cultural programs, organized by the Office of Non-Iranian Pilgrims Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi.
“By attending this holy place, I felt spiritual solace, and indeed visiting the holy shrine of the eighth Imam gives spirituality,” said Henadi Haidar, a lecturer at the University of Mustafa in Syria during his visit to the Razavi shrine, stating that it was the third time he had come to the holy shrine of the eighth Imam.
Referring to Imam Reza as a role model for humankind, he added, “it is necessary to strengthen the spirit of faith in the present situation, when deviant sects like ISIS [terrorists] want to tarnish the image of Islam.”
“Today, we must strengthen people’s beliefs by resorting to the conduct of the saints of God and the household of the prophet [of Islam] to prevent the enemies of religion from manipulating the minds of the youth by promoting anti-religious acts,” said Henadi Haidar.
Qur’an recitation, virtual tour around the shrine, recitation of ‘Aminullah’ Prayer and performing noon and afternoon prayers were among the programs attended by the Syrian pilgrims. The scholars also received presents from the Office of Non-Iranian Pilgrims Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi.
