A Pakistani cultural figure has clarified as commendable the advanced technology of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR) Central Library in preservation and maintenance of resources and the way it is rendered to researchers.
Dr. Fatima Hassan, the secretary of Anjuman-e-Taraqqi-e-Urdu Pakistan, who paid a visit to various sections of Astan Quds Razavi Central Library, including digitization and microfilm centers, said: “Digital imaging devices and how to digitize resources in this library were very useful and interesting to me.”
She continued: “I am eager for Astan Quds Razavi's digitization experts to provide us with more information on how to digitize resources at the center and how digitalization machines work to help us digitize and conserve our resources.”
Acknowledging the latest technologies used in the workshop for restoration and preservation of Astan Quds Razavi cultural works, Dr. Fatima Hassan said: “The center's equipment for preserving resources and services to researchers really impressed me, so we need the library's knowledge and experience in the field of cultural restoration.”
Dr. Fatima Hassan further noted that all types of study resources in this library are best preserved, adding “We need to use this center's dedication to preserve the valuable resources we have.”
To put an end to her remarks, while she was visiting the repository of printed books, Dr. Fatima Hassan said: “This library has high technology in providing services to researchers for which it should be commended.”
