Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi has met with Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, to exchange views on eliminating problems the pilgrims of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine experience in various areas.
Hoj. Marvi told the interior minister that such problems as accommodation of pilgrims, traffic, and parking lots in Mashhad need a national will to be alleviated.
He added: “Exerting pressure and imposing economic sanctions, the enemy did its best to create civil disobedience, social cleavage and a riot in the country; it failed to meet any of its goals, however.”
He went on to say: “The person [former US national security adviser John Bolton] who said that the Islamic Revolution will not celebrate its 40th anniversary has faded himself.”
Pointing to the properties of AQR as a sign of people’s devotion and love toward the Infallible Household of the Prophet (pbuh), Marvi added: “AQR has got lots of lands and properties thanks to the people’s endowments; Existence of these properties does not mean availability of large amounts of liquidity and cash for the AQR.”
“I ask all the governor generals to have a special sensitivity toward AQR’s properties and be careful about any misusage of these endowments as they are the only assets of the organization,” he noted.
Referring to the new revisions on the management teams of the AQR’s representative offices in other provinces, he said: “We seek to organize NGOs all across the county with the purpose of serving people specially the underprivileged in the name of Imam Reza (AS)”.
He further noted that AQR will not have any ownership in these offices while its observation will be done as the centers will be active under the name of Astan Quds Razavi. “These offices will receive support from AQR if need be.”
“To render better services to the pilgrims of Imam Reza (AS), AQR has constructed some pilgrim towns and hotels and it is now running 20 complexes in the roads ending in the holy city of Mashhad”, he revealed.
Marvi vowed 100% increase in complexes in other roads through cooperation with governor generals.
Formation of a coordination office between AQR and Interior Ministry was also suggested by Hoj. Marvi which was immediately welcomed by the minister of interior.
