AQR to expand pharmaceutical, medical services and facilities

Astan Quds Razavi has plans to boost the quality and quantity of services at Razavi Hospital, Imam Reza (AS) Health Clinic and its pharmaceutical centers.

Announcing the above during a visit to development projects in Razavi Hospital, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, said: “We must follow Imam Ali (AS) as a model in humanitarian and emotional issues, and also in sympathy with the people and taking steps for alleviating social problems.”

He introduced Imam Ali (AS) as a brave man who had immense influence in the history of Islam. “No Quranic verse has been descended on description of his gallantry, but when he offered in charity his ring while praying or his fasting meal for three days to the poor, God sent a verse praising his good deed. This indicates how important philanthropy is to Islam.”

Hoj. Marvi added: “According to the teachings of Islam, he who saves another from death, he has saved a group of people indeed. Medical career is so valuable and sacred that Imam Ali (AS) has addressed the Prophet (pbuh) as the ‘physician of all physicians’.”

Placing emphasis on the fact that no patient should suffer pain except for his disease, AQR chief custodian said: “We must do our best to supply medicines and accommodations as far as possible and create desirable conditions for the patients to remove their concerns on medical expenses.”

The hospital, he noted, carries the blessed name of Imam Reza (AS), “therefore, the services and behavior of the staff must be according to the standards attributed to Imam Reza (AS).”

Among the required standards, he highlighted having the best, most specialized and most sympathetic physicians and staff as well as best facilities, state-of-the-art technology and tools. “The behavior of staff at this hospital must be manifestation of humanity, sympathy and full respect for human dignity.”

Denouncing indifference vis-à-vis disadvantaged walks of life, Hoj. Marvi revealed that Astan Quds Razavi has plans to funnel Razavi Hospital’s revenues into establishment of medical centers in Mashhad underdeveloped suburbs. “We have plans to establish clinics and medical centers with required facilities in those areas.”
