The management of non-Iranian pilgrims’ affairs of Astan Quds Razavi, this year as in previous years, will hold mourning and special religious programs in the first ten days of Muharram at the Razavi Holy Shrine.
Seyyed Mohammad Javad Hashemi Nejad, the director of Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi said in an interview with Astan News correspondent, “Along with the beginning of the month of Muharram and the mourning of the Shi’ites of the world in the mourning for the lord of the martyrs, this year as in previous years, many special programs in the first ten days of Muharram for the non-Iranian pilgrims of the Razavi Holy Shrine will be held with the slogan “Labbayk Ya Hussein” through the efforts of the Office.”
“These programs will be implemented in the first ten days of Muharram, from the morning to the final hours of the night, religious speeches, eulogy and mourning programs in Kowsar, Dar al-Rahmeh, Dar al-Marhameh Porticos and the Portico and the courtyard of Ghadir for Urdu, Arab, Azeri and English-speaking pilgrims.” he added.
“Holding the program ‘A Night with Martyrs,’ commemorating the international martyrs of the resistance with anti-hegemonic approach and promoting Husseini’s ethics are indicative programs that feature each and every night for the pilgrims of Central Asia and the Caucasus, Afghanistan, and Arab speaking pilgrims along with lectures, eulogies, mourning and recitation of Ashura Prayer in the Dar al-Rahmeh Portico of the Razavi Holy Shrine,” Hashemi Nejad asserted.
“Special program of Maqtal recitation by reading the Maqtal of the lord of the martyrs (A.S.) on the morning of Ashura, will be held at 9:00 o’clock a.m. by the speech of Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Sibouyeh in Dar al-Marhameh Portico particular to Arab-speaking pilgrims,” he expressed.
Hashemi Nejad mentioned the huge gathering of the mourning groups from the country of Afghanistan in the Ghadir Courtyard of the Razavi Holy Shrine of other programs in these days and said, “The ceremony will be held at 6th day of Muharram from 16:00 o’clock at the Ghadir Courtyard.”
“Furthermore, the special program for Zeinabi Ladies with the theme “Family and Husseini Lifestyle” for the Afghan, Azerbaijani, Urdu and English-speaking ladies is among other parts of the programs” the director of Non-Iranian Pilgrims Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi pointed out.
He commented on the other program of these days such as international conference of “Hayat Tayybaba” and the specialized meeting “Ambassadors of Rezvan” on the subject of mutual services between Iran and Iraq and said, “These programs will be run by holding the great contest ‘Mesbah Al-Hoda’ for Urdu and Arab speaking pilgrims.”
“A separate specialized meeting titled “The Shi’ites’ Responsibilities for the Ashura Movement” will be held in the Portico of Dar al-Rahmeh with the approach of raising and educating the Shi’ites of the present generation, especially for English-speaking pilgrims and by the speech of Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Hadi Qorbanayar,” Hashemi Nejad remarked.
He mentioned the “Causes and Grounds of the Uprising of Ashura,” “The Life and Character of Hazrat Abolfazl (A.S.),” and “the Role of Imam Hussein’s Leadership and the Compliance of his Followers in the Ashura Movement” among the themes which will be spoken of in religious ceremonies for English-speaking Muslims.
