“Imam Reza’s unique character is reflected in his name” the Custodian of Astan Askariyya (A.S.) said.
According to the Astan News correspondent, Sheikh Sattar al-Murshidi, the Custodian of Astan Askariyya (A.S.), at the sermon ritual of the night of Imam Reza’s (A.S.) martyrdom at the Islamic Revolution Courtyard of the Razavi Holy Shrine stated, “Imam Reza (A.S.) had a unique character and we can see this trait reflected in his name.”
“Imam Reza (A.S.) with the effect on jihad and Shi’a spirit has played the role of the representative of the Prophet (S.A.W.) during his time and this trait has only assigned to Hazrat Fatima (S.A.) and Imam Reza (A.S.)” he added, pointing to the fact that three historical effects have been formed by the name of Imam Reza (A.S.).
“The coins that were minted during his crown-prince time in his holy name were minted after his martyrdom. Ayatollah Hakim, quoted the director of the Iraqi National Museum that coinage has continued at the request of the people and to honor his name,” he expressed.
“During the reign of Abbasid Dynasty, they called the children of Imams as ‘Children of Reza,’ which indicates the spiritual influence of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (A.S.) in the depth of history” the Custodian of Askariyya (A.S.) Shrine said.
Expressing that Imam Reza (A.S.) in addition to Shi’ites has been valuable throughout history for other religions he reiterated, “Many Sunni Muslims, when they were in trouble came to his mausoleum and prayed for their wishes to be fulfilled.”
“Thank God we had success to receive the Iranian pilgrims in Arbaeen Husseini (A.S.)” Al-Murshidi pointed out.
“Tomorrow, in Holy Shrine of Astan Askariyya (A.S.) we will hold the mourning ceremony of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (A.S.)” he remarked.
