Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi introduced Ghadir as the manifestation of the guardianship of the guardian to Prophet’s mission and said, “Ghadir taught humanity how to live.”
According to Astan News, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi, in the special ceremony of the Eid of Ghadir, which was held after the evening and night prayers in the Razavi Grand Courtyard, based on a tradition from the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) stated, “Ghadir day, in between other feasts and days is the one that shines among stars. Ghadir is truly shining in human life and its message is the missing of humanity’s life.”
“The Prophet, in order to determine the guardianship and priority for the people first asked people on the day of Ghadir “Am I not more deserving and closer to you than yourself?’ and after the admission of the people he said ‘whoever I am his guardian now Ali is his guardian”.
“According to the teachings and traditions of the Prophet (S.A.W.) and the Infallible Imams (A.S.), the meaning of the guardianship is two things, which include listening to the words of God and obedience” said the Lecturer of the Mashhad Seminary on the meaning of the guardianship.
Guardianship; the Greatest Divine Blessing
“Our whole existence is covered with divine blessings, and we can never count these blessings; however, with this volume, the Almighty God did not oblige over his blessings and told the believers to do so while doing charity” he stated.
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi, pointing out that the Almighty God obliged over the mission of the Prophet (S.A.W.) and the blessing of Imamate on humanity, stated, “The term of the guardianship is all-inclusive between the mission and the Imamate. The Almighty God obliged the man over the guardianship. This obliging is an indication of the greatness of this divine blessing. If the blessing of guardianship was not there for human, his life would not be different from the other creatures of the world. According to traditions and prayers, it is understood that if was not for the messenger of God, the whole developmental and religious system of the world will be disturbed.”
He then mentioned prophecy, Ghadir, Ashura and the re-emergence of Imam Mahdi (A.S.), as four connected circles and said, “Without each one of these circles, the other ones will be shaken; if it was not for Ghadir, the Prophet's (S.A.W.) prophecy would definitely disappear in the history, or if Ashura or re-emergence were not existed, religion would never have become universal.”
The Meaning of Belief in Ghadir
"The belief in Ghadir means that human beings in all aspects of their lives not accept anything other than the divine authority and guardianship of the Almighty God, the God seeking human, cannot accept anything but the government of the divine guardian, because apart from the divine government, it is the rule of the evil and the corrupted that contradicts the principle of approaching the God” said the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi.
By asking the question who is the Guardian? he expressed, “According to the verse, ‘Your guardian can be only Allah; and His messenger and those who believe, who establish worship and pay the poordue, and bow down (in prayer)’ the guardian of all humanity is only the God, the Prophet and the believers who have paid poor tax while praying. All the commentators wrote on this verse that it is about Imam Ali (A.S.), because he gave poor tax at the time of genuflexion.”
The Criterion of Being the Principle of the Religion
“"Everything related to the essence, attributes and actions of the Lord, is among the principles of religion, therefore, Imamate and Prophecy are the acts of God and are considered the principles of religion, and the proof is the verse. ‘O Messenger! Make known that which hath been revealed unto thee from thy Lord, for if thou do it not, thou wilt not have conveyed His message. Allah will protect thee from mankind. Lo! Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk’, which the Almighty God revealed to the Prophet (S.A.W.) on the day of Ghadir” Member of the Assembly of Experts, referring to the fact that according Shi’ites viewpoint Imamate is considered the principle of religion, said about the criterion of ‘Imamate’ as religion’s principle.
“During the Great Absence, according to the traditions, the suited jurisprudent is the guardian of the Muslims. The sanctity of the Islamic Republic of Iran is rooted in the guardianship, each establishment connected with the guardianship is sacred” he said on the guardianship during the absence of Imam Mahdi (A.S.).
“In addition to being attached to the guardianship, the intent of the people is also involved in the sanctity of acts. The one who is helping a person for the contentment of Imam Reza (A.S.) in the corners of this country, shows the manner of his servitude” Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi reiterated.
The Virtues of Imam Ali (A.S.)
“In the grace and dignity of Imam Ali (A.S.), it is enough to say that the Messenger of God said, ‘O Abul Hasan! Your example in the midst of my nation is like, ‘Say: He is Allah, the One!’, whoever reads it once, in fact, he has read the third of the Quran, and whoever reads it twice, in fact, he has read two-thirds of the Quran, and whoever reads it three times, in fact, he has finished the Quran. So whoever loves you by the tongue, two thirds of his faith is complete, and whoever loves you in tongue and heart and helps you, his faith is complete” he commented in another part of his speech on the virtues of Imam Ali (A.S.).
Member of the Expediency Council, stressing that Ghadir taught humanity how to live, stated, “All the problems that we face today in the Muslim world are due to the distance taken shape from the Prophet’s (S.A.W.) message of Ghadir. If the international relations form based on the teachings of the Prophet (S.A.W.), many problems will be solved.”
Pointing to the fact that the missing of the world today is the distance from Ghadir's sermon, he said, “Do Human rights defenders not hear the voices of women and children in Myanmar? Those who boast human rights claims everywhere and are advocating the protection of human rights, should not take the rights of the people of Myanmar into consideration?”
“Myanmar's incidents are crimes against humanity, the destruction of houses, the killing of women and children in Myanmar is done by whose support? Why the international community does not come to rescue them?” Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi reminded.
